How the assessment works
Send us your logbook, last LPC and OPC records, any ICAO A320 ratings you hold on other licences, and a brief flying history for the last twenty-four months. We propose a refresher plan and quote within two working days.

Regulatory basis
Renewal of an expired multi-pilot type rating is governed by EASA Part-FCL.740(b) and AMC1 FCL.740(b)(1). The old fixed tier tables (three, five and seven years) were removed in the 2020 amendment; assessment is now case-by-case.

My A320 rating has lapsed — what do I need to do?
When a Part-FCL A320 rating has expired, the pilot must complete refresher training at an Approved Training Organisation and then pass a proficiency check (renewal). Since 2020, the fixed three-, five- and seven-year tier tables have been removed; the ATO now assesses the individual case under AMC1 FCL.740(b)(1) and designs training proportionate to recency and experience.
How much refresher training will I need?
It depends on how long the rating has been lapsed and your recent experience on type or on similar aircraft. A typical range is eight to sixteen Full Flight Simulator hours plus ground study. The exact figure is quoted after we review your logbook, last check records and any ICAO ratings you hold on another licence.
What if I hold a current A320 rating on another authority licence?
If you hold a current ICAO A320 rating on an FAA, GCAA, DGCA or other authority licence, refresher training is usually waived for the EASA renewal and only the proficiency check is required, subject to State of Licence Issue confirmation.
Does the refresher include theoretical revision?
Yes. A short revision block on aircraft systems, performance and normal procedures is included in the refresher package, delivered as pre-course reading and briefing before the simulator sessions.
